Walk Theth – Valbone

Average walk time: 5 – 6 hours

Departure from the Visitors Center in Pejë at 07:30 hrs. After 1 hour and 30 min. drive you will reach Valbonë, which is a starting point of the trip. Through Qafa e Valbonës you will arrive in Theth, a historical village of Albania. This ancient 14 km long trail connects the regions of Shalë and Nikaj. A narrow ridge along the trail will offer you grandiose views of these two plateaus. At around 16:00 you will be accommodated in a guesthouse. Dinner is served at 19:00 hrs.  

Walk Theth – Nderlyse
Distance: 10 km
Average walk time: 5 hours

Breakfast is served at 08:00 hrs, and the walk starts at 10:00. Theth is one of the most beautiful villages in Albania. The isolation Kulla (Albanian traditional house), a facility without windows, which used to serve in the past for the protection of people in blood feud, makes it even more special. The trail leading to Nderlyse is rich in waterfalls and natural bathtubs of the Shala River. The walk lasts for about 5 hours, with resting time that can be spent by swimming in natural bath tubes or having refreshments in the surrounding bars. The dinner is served at 19:00 hrs.

Walk Theth – Vuthaj
Distance: 21.3 km
Average walk time: 6 – 7 hours

Breakfast is served at 08:00 hrs, and the walk starts at 09:30 hrs. The walk of 21 km will lead you from Theth to the village of Vuthaj. This trail is one of the most beautiful ones of the Accursed Mountains, which during the communist time used to be a prohibited area. During the walk you will have the opportunity to see the military bunker and old border posts between Albania and Montenegro. From the village of Vuthaj you will reach the city of Pejë by transfer means.
